PESHAWAR: According to recent reports, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has seen a remarkable increase of about 100% in tourist arrivals this year, coming from different parts of the country. The data reflects that KP is turning out to be more appealing as a travel destination and how much law and order has improved in the region.
Record-Breaking Numbers: Between May 1 and July, the beautiful country of KP welcomed a whopping 9 million tourists, double the number from the previous year. A growing number of domestic and foreign travelers prefer this region
Swat Valley: Swathed in green valleys and characterized by snow-capped mountains, Swat has seen an inflow of 260,000 visitors this year. The serene landscapes and rich cultural heritage continue to attract tourists seeking tranquillity and adventure.
Galiyat: A total of about 350,000 people visited the picturesque Galiyat region during this period due to its misty hills, dense forests, and charming hill stations. Nature lovers find it extremely cool due to its climate as well as breathtaking views.
Chitral and Kaghan: Chitral and Kaghan valleys took in 250000 tourists between them altogether .These are areas with unspoiled lakes, alpine meadows, trekking opportunities and mountaineering possibilities
Government Initiatives: Efforts made by KP government to boost tourism including improved facilities ,better infrastructure and strengthened security has made the province attractive as a safe destination for visitors looking for relaxation after a stressful day at work or school.
Concerns and Solutions: Muzamil Aslam, a finance advisor, acknowledged the public complaints against the National Highway Authority (NHA) while celebrating this success. To make travel easier, the provincial government is working out these issues.
Future Prospects: Zahid Chanzeb, who is the advisor for tourism, revealed plans to set up four new tourist zones next year in Chitral and Mansehra. These zones will act as new hill stations as well as beautiful wonders to attract more people to KP’s tourism sector.
