First-ever service from Dushanbe to Islamabad was provided by Somon Air, a Tajikistani airline.

On Thursday, Somon Air from Tajikistan started operating flights in Pakistan. Their initial flight from Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, landed in Islamabad. Governor Faisal Karim Kundi from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Yusuf Sharifzoda, greeted 14 passengers from the flight SMR-129 upon their arrival at Islamabad International Airport. The airport’s rescue and fire-fighting service honored the plane with a water cannon salute

Shaheen Airport Services (SAP) oversaw the flight. SAP adoption by the airline was made possible in large part by Captain Saeed Khan, the head of commercial operations. He has brought 14 airlines to SAP.
Somon Air, a Tajikistani airline, started operating in Pakistan on Thursday. Islamabad was the destination of their maiden flight from the capital, Dushanbe. The Tajikistani ambassador to Pakistan, Yusuf Sharifzoda, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor, Faisal Karim Kundi, greeted the 14 passengers of flight SMR-129 upon their arrival at Islamabad International Airport. The aircraft received a customary salute from fire trucks from the Civil Aviation Rescue and Firefighting Department.
Shaheen Airport Services was in charge of the flight (SAP). The commercial operations captain, Captain Saeed Khan, was instrumental.

An celebration for cutting the cake was also held. This accomplishment was welcomed by the CEO of Somon Air, Air Commodore (R) Wasim Ahmed Khan, the Executive Director of Shaheen Airport Services, Air Cdre (retd) Shahid Nadeem, the General Manager of Shaheen Airport Services in Islamabad, and others. Attending the event were the Director of SAPs, the Airport Manager, and other notable individuals.
