The transition of Chinese citizens into acquiring online visa from August 14 is an act of establishing closer ties between Pakistan and China. This scheme is meant to ease out the challenges faced when applying for a visa as well as making it easier for Chinese people.
The declaration came from Interior Minister “Mohsin Naqvi” when he was meeting with a senior-level Chinese commercial group which was headed by “Zhao Shiren”, the General Consul, at Lahore city. The discussion during this meeting mainly centered round how to tackle the safety problems bothering Chinese citizens who are employed in different projects across Pakistan.
Chinese delegation thanked Pakistani authorities for taking care of the safety blossoming ideas about improvement of security measures. Minister Naqvi assured them that their suggestions would be taken seriously and implemented, stressing that the government is devoted to protecting Chinese citizens.
“Safety of Chinese people is our primary concern,” pointed out Naqvi, whose opinion accurately displays what the government is doing in fostering a safe environment for Chinese business operations in Pakistan. He also promised to provide assistance and facilities needed by all Chinese individuals investing or working economically in Pakistan.
Even if the Year 2024 had come, these measures to be improved would ensure the safety of citizens. In his speech, Consul General Zhao Shiren appreciated efforts made by Pakistan to ensure strong bilateral ties and was hopeful from there about results of the meeting. He emphasized that there was a good relationship between China and Pakistan and also declared his good ties with Minister Naqvi. According to Zhao, this cooperation was better than before.
The meeting concluded on a positive and hopeful note, with both participating parties reaffirming their commitments to mutual cooperation and support. The Chinese Consul General expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s efforts at safeguarding the welfare of its Chinese citizens, expecting that such fruitful cooperation will ensue from this meeting between them.
Pakistan seeks to make itself more attractive for upcoming business ventures and investments in order to fortify its partnership with China by availing online visas as well as ensuring high levels of security measures targeted towards Chinese people
